I had this same issue with Windower4. Whenever I want to run clipper, fantasywarp and so on, I have to make sure that I have them running as admin before I start the client I am using (Windower etc). I just switched to Ashita and just found that I am having the same issue. I had Ashita open, and I ran clipper as admin, shortly after the prompt comes up to run as admin, the game just disappears and I have to re open Ashita completely.

Can someone please explain why this is happening? I tried shutting off my AV programs but that didnt help.

I'm also using Ashita in windowed mode so it isn't a alt tab issue.

Never mind, I fixed it.

It's the User Account Control settings.

I couldn't see a post here about it so here's what I did.

You can get to UAC by searching from the start menu. Then slide the bar in UAC down to "Never notify". This fixed the issue for me anyway.

Yeah, it's the dimming function that closes FFXI. Using something like DgVoodoo allows it to wirk without dropping the UAC setting too.
